  • 03 Jul 2025 Trade Balance May 2025
    Australia’s seasonally adjusted goods trade surplus declined to a 4.5-year low of A$2.2b in May, from the downwardly revised A$4.9b in the previous month. The May decline in the goods trade surplus was caused by both a 2.7% fall in exports and a 3.8% rise in imports.
  • 02 Jul 2025 Building Approvals May 2025
    Dwelling approvals rose a seasonally adjusted 3.2% in May (mkt exp +4.0%), following a revised 4.1% fall in April (originally -5.7%). Annual growth eased to 6.5% YoY, from 8.0% in April.
  • 02 Jul 2025 Retail Trade May 2025
    Retail trade rose a seasonally adjusted 0.2% in May, somewhat less than the 0.5% increase expected by the markets. The increase in May was possible thanks to gains in department store sales (+2.6%) as well as clothing, footwear and personal accessories retailing (+2.9%), which followed similar declines in the previous month.
